We are fantastically excited to announce the occupants at SEE3’s FIFTH Pop Up Shop in the area, and the first of four pop up shops as part of the Pop Goes Sydenham project hitting Sydenham high street this summer.
Our new tenants at 167 Sydenham Road are Gunpowder Cherry Pie and Flash Trash. Not as combustible as they sound, we hope; more a mellow merging of refurbished vintage furniture with lamps, clothing and jewellery.
The shop officially opens this Saturday 18 May from 10am.
Mark Vaughan set up Gunpowder Cherry Pie online to sell up-and-coming designer accessories alongside his stand-out, limited collection of jewellery.
Kym Taliana is the mastermind behind Flash Trash, originally operating out of a Greenwich market stall, selling refurbished vintage and retro furniture, ornaments, home wares and carefully selected vintage dresses. Kym’s unique range has ensured her popularity in Greenwich for 5 years and built a loyal customer base.
167 Sydenham Road is one of four pop up shops due to be opening in the coming weeks; part of the wider Pop Goes Sydenham campaign to stimulate interest in Sydenham high street this summer. As well as the pop up shops, there is a concerted effort to introduce a thriving night time economy to SE26 through June with supper clubs and events and a ‘Shoreditch Cool’ club night planned later in the summer at local night club Zanzibar. July will see a collaboration between the team and the Sydenham Arts Festival to bring pop up retail theatre to empty shops and spaces for the ‘Retail Therapy’ project.
