What an amazing start to Forest Hill Fashion Week! The streets of Forest Hill have been heaving with fashion conscious, or simply curious, locals.
You may have spotted the official FHFW t-shirts dotted around the high street and donned by the local traders. Even the SEE3 Core Team have got in the FHFW spirit.
Ronke Fashola’s vintage inspired designs made from ethically sourced materials have gone down a storm with visitors. She is also stocking a number of items from other local businesses including the gorgeous satchels from N’Damus.
This was followed by the FHFW Launch Event hosted by those fabulous folks at the Sylvan Post. The Haywood Sisters provided music from the 40s and 50s, and Louise Brooks from the SEE3 Team behind the Pop Up Shops introduced the week’s events with a few words Love Ur Look’s Ronke Fashola.
Yesterday saw a hive of activity along Dartmouth Road with a series of workshops in soon to be opened cafe and gallery The Montage with work shown by owners and artists Pawal and Joanna. While the Question Bar was awash with stall holders in the function room downstairs for the Pop Up Emporium.
All this and we are only 2 days in! Today sees further workshops in The Montage and Stag and Bow, with nail art at Bunka and a Kids Fancy Dress Catwalk and Toy Show at Doopo Doopo. And tonight you are invited to don that outfit you haven’t yet had the chance to wear at the Out of the Closet party at Canvas & Cream which will also celebrate their first birthday.
With loads more events to take us into Monday and Tuesday we’re going to be busy! But we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
