SEE3 Marketing Committee – First meeting 11 Oct, 7.30pm

We will be holding the first meeting for the SEE3 Town Team Marketing Committee on Thursday 11 October at 7.30pm in the Community Room at Forest Hill Pools.

You might be wondering why we are holding a meeting for the Town Team Marketing Committee when we don’t yet have a Town Team. This is because setting up a Town Team which is going to involve all the groups, organisations, civic societies, schools, churches and so on is going to be quite complex, requiring a lot of attention to get it right. We want to ensure we do get it right and that everyone gets a voice in shaping our high streets. So this will be one of the foremost tasks of our Town Team Manager, a post we will be advertising very shortly.

In the meantime we have a lot of marketing and PR activities we’d like to get a handle on, particularly with a key retail period fast approaching in the shape of Christmas.

The Marketing Committee meeting on Thursday will be hosted by Louise Brooks, a member of the Core Team.
The agenda for the evening is as follows:
7.30pm – Introduction and update on the SEE3 Portas Pilot by Louise Brooks
7.40pm – Update on marketing carried out to date, and thoughts and plans for the future and upcoming events
7.50pm – Split into groups according to expertise/areas of interest to brainstorm ideas
8.10pm – Share ideas and determine who will be involved in what functions
8.30pm – Close

– A Christmas campaign
– Development and support of the Forest Hill Totally Locally shop local initiative
– Sydenham Halloween event
– Developing the SEE3 brand
– Website design and content
– Newsletter
– Social media
– A SEE3 app
